“Many Drops Make a Stream” Promotion Event Terms and Conditions

These are the rules, terms, and conditions for the Many Drops Make a Stream giveaway that Duck Prints Press is running from September 15, 2023 through September 30, 2023.

  1. This sweepstakes is being run by Duck Prints Press LLC, which is based in New York State, USA, and operates under the laws thereof, and being run by Claire Houck, who can be reached at info@duckprintspress.com.
  2. No purchase necessary to win the Many Drops Make a Stream sweepstakes. Purchase or payment of any kind will not increase entrants’ odds of winning.
  3. Sweepstakes is valid where applicable law allows, and is void where prohibited by law.
  4. Entrants must be at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry.
  5. The sweepstakes runs from September 15 2023, through September 30 2023 (ending midnight, Eastern time in the USA).
  6. The sweepstakes prize is a single print copy of Many Drops Make a Stream by Adrian Harley. The approximate retail price of Many Drops Make a Stream is $25 USD. Awarding of this prize is conditional on the pre-order campaign for Many Drops Make a Stream reaching the minimum pre-order funding goal of $3,000. If we do not reach this goal, this prize will not be awarded.
  7. Duck Prints Press will cover up to $15 USD in shipping costs. (US Domestic shipping of the book will cost approximately $5 USD.) Depending on local laws, we cannot guarantee that people outside the US will be eligible to win; legality and eligibility of people who live outside the US relies on the laws of their governing jurisdiction(s).
  8. The number of eligible entries received will determine the odds of winning. On request, once the event is complete, we will share information on the number of entries collated.
  9. Entries are made by liking and/or reblogging/retooting/reskeeting/sharing posts originated by Duck Prints Press social media accounts. Entrants will receive one (1) entry for “liking” or “thumbs upping” or “hearting” a post (as relevant to different social media platforms, after this point referred to as “liking” or “like”) and can receive one (1) entry per platform on which they “like” the post(s). Entrants can receive up to three (3) entries for “reblogging” or “reskeeting” or “retooting” or “sharing” a post (as relevant to different social media platforms, after this point referred to as “reblogging” or “reblog”), and can receive up to three (3) entries per platform on which they “reblog” the post(s). Entrants will not receive confirmation of entry. Post interactions will only be tallied on posts for which Duck Prints Press’s official social media accounts are the post originator. Entrants do not need to follow a Duck Prints Press social media account to be eligible to win, and no entries will be granted in exchange for following Duck Prints Press.
  10. All eligible entries will be listed in a spreadsheet, and the winner will be selected using the randomizer random.org. The winner will be contacted on the same social media account from which they applied. The winner will have one week to reply to outreach attempts from Duck Prints Press, and they must be willing to share a legal shipping address in order to receive the prize. They do not need to share a name, and no information about the winner will be retained. The winner’s online name will be shared only if the winner gives Duck Prints Press permission to do so (for example, to “at” their username on the platform in question and announce that they won). The winner’s personal information will be retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the delivery of the prize. If the first-selected winner does not reply, Duck Prints Press will randomly select another winner, who will also have a week to reply. We will continue picking until a winner claims the prize.   11. Bot accounts, empty accounts, accounts with no followers (where determinable), and accounts that solely exist to promote sweepstakes are not eligible to participate.
  12. The winner must comply with all terms and conditions of these official rules. In the event that a prize winner is disqualified for any reason, the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner selected via a random drawing made using random.org.
  13. The prize is non-transferable, and no substitution will be made except as provided herein at Duck Prints Press’s sole discretion. We reserve the right to substitute a prize for one of equal or greater value if the designated prize should become unavailable for any reason. The winner is responsible for all taxes and fees associated with prize receipt and/or use. 
  14. By receipt of any prize, winner agrees to release and hold harmless Duck Prints Press, and our affiliates, suppliers, and distributors, from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to: personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the sweepstakes or receipt or use or misuse of any prize. The released parties are not responsible for: a. any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the promotion; b. technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to: malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; c. unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the promotion; d. technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the promotion or the processing of entries; or e. any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the promotion or receipt or use or misuse of any prize. 
  15. The prize winner also agrees to release and hold harmless the involved social media providers (such as Tumblr, Mastodon, Bluesky, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) from and against any claims or cause of action related to this sweepstakes. None of these platforms have sponsored this sweepstakes. The sweepstakes hosted by Duck Prints Press is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, Bluesky, Pillowfort, cohost, Mastodon, Dreamwidth, Discord, LinkedIn, WordPress, or any other social media platform on which Duck Prints Press promotes the sweepstakes. Duck Prints Press explicitly releases these social media networks from any form of liability related to this sweepstakes.
  16. Duck Prints Press reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the sweepstakes, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond administrator’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the sweepstakes, as determined by administrator in its sole discretion. In such an event, administrator reserves the right to award the prizes at random from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment.
