Resources

Transparent Duck Print Divider

Creating and curating an extensive list of art, writing, design, and other resources is outside the scope of what Duck Prints Press is able to do. For general resources, we recommend you follow us on one or more of our social media accounts, where we often post about or retweet/reblog/boost resources we’ve found helpful. Here, we present a collection of resources we use internally to help us run Duck Prints Press and that we thought would be helpful for transparency purposes, to help creators who work with us, and to do our part to help ensure that people who are working in similar fields to us don’t have to “reinvent the wheel.”

Controlled Vocabulary

We use a controlled vocabulary to ensure that we tag stories consistently. Similar to the tags used on Archive of Our Own and some other platforms, this two-tiered system enables us to thoroughly label our content so that people can more easily find media to their taste and avoid things they’d rather not read. Note that, while we do post and tag erotica, you will not be exposed to related tags if you click this link – the not-safe-for-work kink tag list is on a separate page, linked from this page.

Sample Author Contract: Anthology Contributor

A sample of the contract we typically use when working with authors who contribute to our anthology projects. It outlines rights assignments, payment, copyright, and other legalities. We share it publicly for transparency purposes, to give anyone considering working with us an idea of what they may be expected to sign. Note that we are usually open to negotiation on specific aspects of this contract, such as pay rates.

Sample Author Contract: Book Published for Royalties

A sample of the contract we’ve used when working with authors who publish their original novellas and novels with us. It outlines rights assignments, payment, copyright, and other legalities. This version applies specifically and solely to e-book sales; we haven’t yet Kickstarted an individual author’s work, so we don’t yet have a contract for that scenario. Once we develop one, we’ll share it as well. We share our contracts publicly for transparency purposes, to give anyone considering working with us an idea of what they may be expected to sign. Note that we are usually open to negotiation on specific aspects of this contract, such as pay rates.

Sample Invoice Form: For Individuals Doing Commission and/or Contract Work

This is an invoice template than anyone working with us is welcome to use for billing us. Using this isn’t a requirement; many people simply don’t have their own invoices already written so we thought providing one would be helpful.
