Title: Commute

Author: Eliot Lovell

Teaser:

A briefcase drops into the seat in front of her, and Eloise yanks her feet back under her chair on instinct, wincing when the cheap leather of her boots squeaking together rings out over every other noise in the carriage. Her natural urge to apologise dies on her tongue when a woman follows the briefcase, settling diagonally across from Eloise.

She’s—beautiful.

I loved this! Eliot paints such a vivid picture with their attention to detail I felt like I was right there with them on the train. They captured the characters emotions so well and left me wanting more. Well worth a read.
