Brambles, Pollen, and Other Natural Disasters by A. L. Heard
“Nick?”
Although he wanted to run, Nick managed a respectable speed as he came over. “What’s up?” he asked, hopefully not sounding too eager.
There was the sound of someone shifting right behind the door, then the wood creaked as though Brady were resting against it. Right there, inches away yet so far.
“I need help,” Brady said, his voice strangely toneless.
Theirs All Along by boneturtle
Samael’s hand cushions the back of Aren’s head just before he hits the back wall of the cave. He holds Aren, barely breathing, in stark contrast to how hard Aren is panting.
Samael is ungodly beautiful. Not surprising, given that he’s the king of demons.
He’s also bested Aren once again. He’d demanded to spar, to test Aren’s readiness to serve in his guard. Why? Because Aren has told him that he is Toren, a lesser demon from a fringe territory intent on serving His Highness.
Want You Both by boneturtle
Mithros woke with his arms wrapped around Samael’s broad back, mind heavy and content. He nuzzled between his husband’s shoulder blades, reveling in the way that Samael’s demon body cooled itself against the oppressive, sticky heat that accompanied summer in their realm.
He was wondering why he’d woken while Samael was so soundly asleep when he heard a soft noise behind him. Carefully, he disentangled from Samael and rolled over to see Aren…
Cecaelia by Dei Walker
Stella Maris wore a dress of sewn-together swatches in purple silk and sequins that rippled as she moved gracefully across the stage. Her dark eyes connected with Halyna’s during a song, the warmth in them palpable. There was a quirk to her lush lips, and the eye contact was followed by an inviting tilt of her head and a hand on her hip; then Stella Maris turned her focus to another part of the room.
Halyna pressed her lips together as her chest tightened. She let the music wash over her, closing her eyes and letting the singing and the recorded trumpet surround her. Her restraint didn’t last long, and when she opened her eyes, she found Stella Maris looking at her again.
Close and Warm by Robin Mal
The late-afternoon sun filters in through the gauzy curtain, painting the whole room in warm tones. Max watches the play of light and shadow on Luoyu’s bare back through half-lidded eyes, admiring the view, considering whether to allow himself to slip all the way into a nap.
This is the relaxed silence that Luoyu breaks with a sleepy murmur. “Let me suck your cock sometime.”
Just Let Me Lose Control by Tris Lawrence
Win kisses Crys’s head, then moves to do as directed, lining mugs up along the counter. “I need to remember to thank our boy for taking care of the snow.”
“He always takes care of the snow.” Crys flips four pancakes from the skillet and pours four more. “I cook. He handles things outside the house. You sleep.”
Win puts a hand on his furred chest where his robe gaps open. “I do more than sleep.”
“You distract us.”
“I take care of you.”
Warm Anything You Want by Tris Lawrence
Alaric takes out his phone, and it takes him five tries to type the words into a brand-new conversation to a number that he took without thinking he’d use it. They look stark and solid in the little space on the screen, and he feels his breath punch out when he presses “Send.”
If you meant it, I need to get laid.
